Between the interface of functional objects and visual art, Lucas Morten invites you to an era where contemporary questioning social thoughts meet the history of brutalism. With elements fetched by the architectural era brutalism, combined with a figurative memory of a group of bared-legged homogeneous, Lucas sketched Kub with elements inspired by one of the earliest buildings, the Ziggurats of ancient Mesopotamia, he reconstructed its enormous magnitude and strict lines into Kub Chair. Lucas Morten is a multi-disciplinary artist juggling various mediums, resulting in either functional objects or visual arts. Regardless of the chosen art-form, Lucas invariably manages to translate an idea while bringing up his own reflection on some specific fundamental and social topics.
