The Exposure cabinet, crafted in solid oak wood, reveals an intriguing complexity within its apparent simplicity. By seamlessly integrating the doors into the structure, they lose their traditional functional character. In this design, they acquire renewed meaning.The doors, originally meant to shield and conceal, are now forcibly open, forming an inviting gesture. For this project, they collaborated with Casimir Ateliers, a master cabinetmaker known for creating exquisite solid wood pieces of furniture. Belgian designer Davy Grosemans is behind the brand, each piece of his collection serves as an exploration of new and uncharted processes, materials and production techniques. Repeated experiments are performed to redefine the meaning and essence of an object.The objects are tangible outcomes of the studio’s exploration into myriad materials, processes and craftsmanship techniques.
