For this design, the Dutch designer Maarten Baas started off from the archetypical pepper mill which consists of a cylinder and a round head on top of it. Instead of streamlining these two parts into a unified whole, the materialised a sketchy drawing of a mill. His result is in a playful, asymmetrical form as Baas has given it a sketch-like object that highlights irregularity in shape, allowing it to take centre stage.
