These hand carved bowls were made by Tuareg artisans who take pride in their work, creating beautiful objects that serve as everyday utensils. The graceful lines and subtle embellishments reflects their culture sophistication.These bowls were originally used in the Sahara and served to contain soured milk, which  give them this natural patina. Each tribe has its own way of engraving and decorating these bowls. Minor wear and tear and unique repairs give depth to the history of each piece and its singular look.
