No tools series are wide bellied vessel made from black stoneware clay, glazed inside and out with a black iron oxide glaze and splashes of a white lava glaze.
Boris Zbikowski is a self-taught ceramic artist guided by intuition, material, and touch. He hand-builds sculptural vessels that embrace the traces, textures, and imperfections of their making. Shaped by a background in interior and set design, and inspired by Japanese aesthetics, his work explores the quiet dialogue between object, space, and atmosphere. Raw clay plays a central role—honest, tactile, and subtly expressive—often set against the depth of glazed surfaces. His vessels seek a delicate balance between architecture and organic form, simplicity and presence, craft and instinct.
