Arno Declercq’s works are monumental and ethno-graphic pieces of art. Objects with a strong identity influenced by his passion for brutalism and tribal art, each piece has a functionality . He sources his inspiration while traveling through Benin or Togo and translates his own view of primitive art into aesthetic objects of art. Vases turn into totems and candle holders into monumental sculptures, made in the finest tropical or european woods that he transforms in order to give them a singular and rich blackness.
