Mortaise is a wall shelf consisting of a filigree metal support on which a generously shaped cork element rests. Cork is a natural, recyclable and sustainable material. It is a 100% natural plant based tissue.The cork tree has a long lifetime, around 200 years and it has an enormous regeneration capacity. The plant natural habitat is in the southern region of Portugal and Mediterranean countries. The harvest process has to be made respecting a period of 9 years.
