The first human constructions were built in raw earth in Mesopotamia back to 6000 BC.These hand-made bricks have accompanied man during his development and allowed him to shelter, protect himself, build a home. This brick format still shapes our constructions today. With this in mind Rémy Allamand explores natural and sustainable materials, a return to the essentials, to reclaim old skills that are often forgotten. Made out of a mix of clay, hemp and lime. his briques are basic elements that can be featured solo or as a combination.Each brick is entirely made by hand in his Bordeaux workshop.
