Arno Declercq’s works are monumental and ethnographic pieces of art. Seen as objects with a strong identity and always drawn by his passion for brutalism and tribal art, each piece has its own  functionality. Arno sources his inspiration while traveling through Benin or Togo and translates his own view of primitive art into aesthetic objects of art: vases turn into totems, tables and benches morph into monumental sculptures. Often made in the finest tropical or European woods each of his work achieves a singular and rich blackness.
